Amazing and unbelieveable still, truly that this has happened and that I just did that (with the help of Seamus, Jim, doula Bonu, Mom, Cliff, and midwives Martine and Karen)! Oh and my bestest friend castor oil. Uh, yeah, was I cursing the names of the midwives when I was sitting on the toilet for 4 hours straight, hanging from the towel rack by my arms? Yes, I was.
Anyway - we don't have alot of pics of Seamus yet because we're either sleeping with him, or attempting to get the hang of nursing, or eating, but I'm posting some photos of the day yesterday. Right now, Jim and Seamus are taking a little nap together in bed. Damn he looks sexy with a baby in his arms. Must resist, because even if I had a labor of half the time, I am never doing that again! I swear!
Thank you all so much for the well-wishes. Really heartfelt and appreciated. And, of course, Teri made me cry. Leenie too!You ladies are relentless!
OK - photos:

Aww, Greta, great to see you on the Blog! And thanks for sending more pics, we can't get enough!
He's fabulous. As are you and Jim.
Get some rest, bay-bee!
What a precious gift from God!
Congratulations to all of you. I do believe I said on Sandy's blog that Seamus would make his debut on the 25th.
Good luck to all of you and catch some sleep wherever and whenever you can!!

Oh my - words are failing me - I'm crying - Sandy cutting the cort - certainly mythic. Greta, you are bolding singing the athem of so many women (CAN'T BELIEVE I DID THAT AND NEVER AGAIN) and then we forget the pain and only remember the precious life we hold in our hands due to that evolutionarily handy hormone ocytocin. Well, words are not failing me now. Jim skin agains skin - more tears. Seamus with the Greta shirt on - yet more tears.
Beloved boy, warrior woman, stalwart man, and the loving clan surrounding you three. I am praising you all. Bizzer
Oh, my heart! the sight of my youngest son holding his son in his arms, just overwhelming. And that child: how perfect, how gorgeous he is. And to my dear Greta, a million thanks and praises to you for bringing this gift to our families. Love to the three of you.
That photo of Jim holding Seamus is not sexy to his big sis, it is, however, heart-stoppingly, hauntingly BEAUTIFUL. Of them both!
Sigh, blither,
Auntie Teri
