Yesterday, Sandy and Cliff hosted our first baby shower. (Being incredibly spoiled, we have another one scheduled for next weekend.)
As you can see, Mango Bear is warming up Granny Frannie's homemade cap for Seamus ... and preparing to communicate with him. I believe he is trying to find the sign for "hugses". Silly bear, that's not a word!!
I'll let Greta post more about the shower -- but I do want to give special props to Teri & the Boyz for driving all the way down from Gloucester to attend -- and then driving all the way back! Eight hours in a small car with two restless boys -- my sister is a strong, determined woman. And to Carol and Holly for catering the party -- I felt like a blood-gorged tick afterwards; always a good sign. [Greta adds: John and Kristen get an A+ for chauffering us to CT and putting up with my backseat driving and for staying until the very end to ferry us and all of Mango's loot home!]
Jersey people, the bar has been set very high ... you'd best step up your game. :-)

Auntie Teri LOVED being there and seeing Jim and Greta looking so radiant! Sandy, Cliff, Carol, and Holly knocked themselves out once again...it was a splendid party.
OK, exciting news: my "showah" photos are available for your viewing pleasure (complete with captions, I am getting better at this, Auntie Julie!) at http://photosbytrees.smugmug.com/
Enjoy!
Love
Auntie Teri
Granny Franny is thrilled to see that Mango Bear has become a fixture on the blogsite. Love the hat thing, MB!
Just want to say that while pregnancy is a "bear" -- birth is so awesome, you'll never have a more astounding experience -- what a joy is in store for you Elves.
The next few days after that can be overwhelming, but everyone lives through it, kids; and as for the years that will follow, let me say that at the end it is all so worthwhile, you'll be glad you "did it" -- believe me.
Enjoy the next couple of months of nonparental bliss, though; life as you have known it is soon to be only a memory.
Dear Mommy and Daddy...
Please update your baby blog.
NanaBanana spoke to me last night (via mind communication... did you guys know I can do this? I can!) and she wants you to let everyone know how you "we 3" are all doing.
Love... your Mango-boy, Seamus. ;- )
P.S. Have we come to a decision as to what I shall call you procreatin elfie "rents"?
