As the arrival of the Blessed Mango approaches, a couple of people have asked us when would be a good time to visit after the birth. So we've discussed this with a few other parents, and each other, and we've decided that we want to get a few weeks' alone time ... quality time ... bonding time ... with our little stinky screamer before having visitors. I know this is a little unusual -- traditionally, family, and then friends, gather 'round in celebration -- but I think it will work out well.
So, if any of you were thinking of visiting, we'd like to ask that you wait until around mid-March. He'll be more interesting by then, anyway.
Bring gold, frankincense, and FBAs, but don't worry too much about the myrrh.

If you weren't thinking about coming to visit, please ignore this message and carry on with your End Of Republican Hegemony celebrations.

Oh yeah -- Fran and John are exempted from this rule, because there is "no room at the [Paulist] inn" for them any other time except in February.
Sorry, Jim, we're all coming to visit you to help with the home birth! And we're bringing the dogs!
What? !!!
You mean I am not moving in after the baby comes?!
Heehee... ONLY KIDDING.
Good move on your part.
Time to bond... Good idea.

Julie -- just send the dogs. (Via Greyhound, of course.)
Sandy -- you can move in; you just have to stay in the back room. :-)
Actually, we are very much looking forward to having you here for the birth -- I think that's important to Greta.
Thanks again for an awesome shower!
